‘Enabling Informed Choices in Menstrual Healthcare’

The Informed Choice Network (ICN) is a collaboration of three organizations - Centre for Social Equity and Inclusion (CSEI), Menstrual Health Action India (MHAi), and Sirona Foundation to advance menstrual healthcare, end period poverty, and empower women and girls.

ICN identifies community women and builds their capacities in menstrual health and hygiene, organizes meetings with women’s groups, and enrolls them to use safe and sustainable menstrual products.

In its initial work in 2023, ICN trained 8 community women in 4 urban slum clusters in Delhi to reach out to women working in the informal sector (construction, domestic, waste managers), creating impactful changes in their knowledge, attitudes, and practices in menstrual health and hygiene.

By integrating body literacy, informed choice, and access to menstrual products and health services, the initiative fosters community-based entrepreneurship for sustainable and responsive menstrual health interventions.
